By 1914, a few bugs in the original version of the Type H became obvious so Sangamo came out with an improved version of this model. Although the meter is still marked Type H, documentation refers to this meter as the Type H2 to differentiate it from the original version. The changes included moving the lower mounting holes inside the terminal chamber for a more secure mounting (resulting in a larger terminal chamber), replacing the original rubber terminal bushings with sturdier molded bushings, and the light load was changed from a sliding vane to a screw-type adjuster for more precise adjustment. Like all the earlier models produced by Sangamo, the disk on both versions rotates to the left. H, new style
